Day 1: Mumbai – Madurai : 

  • Board your flight from Mumbai and begin an unforgettable journey through the spiritual and cultural treasures of South India.
  • Arrive in Madurai, one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited cities with over 2500 years of history & check in to the Hotel.
  • Later, visit the magnificent Thirumalai Nayakkar Mahal, a 17th century royal palace renowned for its towering pillars, grand courtyards & remarkable Dravidian, Indo-Saracenic & European architecture. 
  • After a memorable day of sightseeing, enjoy a delicious dinner into the hotel

Day 2: Madurai Sightseeing: 

  • Begin your morning with the divine blessings of Meenakshi Amman Temple, one of India’s most iconic temples with colorful towering gopurams, intricate carvings & the divine presence of Goddess Meenakshi & Lord Sundareswarar.
  • After the darshan, come back to the Hotel for breakfast.
  • Later drive to an Sangam era archeological site dating back to 6th century BCE which has provided a key evidence for urban planning, craft production, trade networks & cultural development.
  • Continue towards the Museum which beautifully showcases ancient artefacts, pottery, ornaments and inscriptions of the Sangam era that bring this remarkable civilisation back to life.

  • En route, visit the magnificent Padmanabhapuram Palace, one of India’s finest wooden palaces showcasing intricate carvings, royal halls, traditional Kerala architecture & the glorious legacy of the Travancore Kingdom
  • Continue your journey & enjoy your lunch before reaching Trivandrum
  • Upon arrival, check into your hotel in the beautiful beach destination of Kovalam.
  • Later, explore the elegant Puthen Maliga Palace Museum formally known as Kuthiramalika Palace or Mansion of Horses, the royal residence of the Travancore Kings famous for its traditional Kerala architecture, 122 intricate wooden horse carvings & royal collections

Note: 

  • Dress code in the temple – Ladies and gents must be fully covered. Sleeveless shirts, blouses, short pants, tight pants, leggings – all these are not allowed.  If ladies in salwar, then dupatta is compulsory. 
  • Women visiting Shree Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Trivandrum must wear traditional attire like a saree, or a long skirt with a blouse. If you are wearing salwar kameez or chudidar, you are required to wrap a traditional dhoti around your waist before entering as western outfits, pants and shorts are strictly prohibited. If your traditional outfit is not a saree, wrap-around dhotis can easily be bought or rented from shops around the temple.
  • Men visiting Shree Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Trivandrum must wear dhotis and remove their shirts before entering the temple.  Rental Velcro Dhotis are available at the temple entrance 
  • Mobile phones, cameras, smart watches and leather items (belts & wallets) are strictly banned inside. You will need to leave these items in a paid cloakroom or locker facility outside the premises before entering.
